Celebrating Biodiversity
Scarborough's environment is unique, we border the Atlantic Ocean, neighbour Baskloof Private Nature Reserve and share a boundary with the Cape Point sector of the Table Mountain National Park. We are surrounded by the unique biodiversity of the Cape Floral Kingdom. The Cape Floral Kingdom is a global biodiversity asset, the smallest of the world’s six floral kingdoms and the only one to be found entirely within one country. It is home to more types of indigenous plants than any similar sized area on Earth AND approximately 70% of its 9,000 plant species are found nowhere else on Earth...
